Why it matters in Florida

Florida does not treat CPR as optional paperwork. Under Fla. Admin. Code R. 59A-18.0081, certified nursing assistants and home health aides referred by a nurse registry must maintain a current CPR certification from a provider approved by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, or the Health and Safety Institute — and the training must require the student to demonstrate, in person, that they can actually perform CPR. Purely online “certificates” with no hands-on skills check do not satisfy that standard. Hospitals, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, and staffing clients layer their own BLS requirements on top.

Courses we offer

All courses follow current American Heart Association guidelines and issue official AHA course completion cards (eCards), valid for two years.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

For: Nurses, CNAs, home health aides, and clinical facility staff.   The clinical standard for anyone delivering hands-on patient care. AHA BLS Provider eCard, valid 2 years.

Heartsaver CPR AED

For: Caregivers, companions, non-clinical staff, employers, and the general public.   Adult, child, and infant CPR plus AED use. AHA Heartsaver eCard, valid 2 years.

Heartsaver First Aid

For: Anyone responsible for responding to injuries and medical emergencies.   Core first aid response; can be combined with CPR AED. AHA Heartsaver eCard, valid 2 years.

AHA-aligned and hands-on verified

•    AHA curriculum. Courses follow current American Heart Association guidelines and issue official AHA course completion cards (eCards).

•    In-person skills. Every certification includes an in-person skills session, satisfying Florida’s hands-on demonstration requirement for caregiver CPR.

•    2-year cards. AHA cards are valid for two years, giving your team and your compliance file a clear renewal cycle.
